OUR SOLUTIONS

WE START WITH WATER, BUT IT DOESN'T STOP THERE

At Water Access To All, clean water is where it begins. Every project starts with a filter, a simple tool that transforms health, safety, and daily life. But through trusted partnerships, we’re able to go further: providing solar lights to families without electricity, delivering hygiene kits to promote sanitation, and supporting children through school-based programs and community care.

And while these are the pillars of our impact, there’s another layer to what we bring, our full selves. From film photography to surfing, from art to soccer/futbol, we share what we love with the people we meet. These aren’t just extras, they’re part of how we connect, build trust, and show up authentically. We believe that creating change should feel human, creative, and real. That’s the kind of work that lasts.

This is what W.A.T.A. is about: clean water, shared humanity, and collaboration that lasts.

Every project starts here.

We distribute long-lasting Sawyer water filters to families and communities, train local ambassadors, and return for follow-ups.

One $25 filter can provide clean water to a family for up 10 years or more.

  • $25 = 1 Filter

  • $5 = 1 Bucket

  • $50 = Clean Water for a Family

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

Training Ambassadors for Long-Term Change

W.A.T.A. Ambassador Program

We don’t just install filters, we train community members to lead. Our Ambassadors are local leaders who set up filters, teach families how to use them, and check in to make sure they last.

By empowering people on the ground, we create solutions that are sustainable, trusted, and truly community-led.

✅ Local leadership

✅ Filter setup & follow-up

✅ Real, long-term impact

SOLAR LIGHTS

Partner: Unite To Light

1_big_lamp-2.webp

In communities without electricity, we provide solar lights to help children study, families cook, and people move safely after dark. These compact, reliable lights bring comfort, safety & opportunity.

  • $12 = 1 Solar Light

Unite to Light has distributed over 250,000 lights to over 80 countries. We have donated lights in Guatemala and are working on getting them in our projects in Vietnam and Myanmar.

SUPPORTING
CHILDREN

Partner: Han-schneider International Children's Foundation & LIQUID SWORDZ

We’re proud to partner with HSICF and Liquid Swordz, both led by longtime W.A.T.A. supporter Arthur, to make a direct impact on the lives of children and families in the communities we serve.

HSICF supports youth through meal programs, school uniforms, books, and classroom supplies, and has even helped open schools in underserved areas. On our Guatemala trip, they donated art supplies to the Long Way Home School and hosted a community day and lunch for students and their families. HSICF also provides ongoing financial support for our programs around the world.

Liquid Swordz, a cannabis brand founded by Arthur, is now stepping in as a creative, culture-driven partner committed to supporting clean water access and community impact through both funding and collaboration.

Together, we’re nourishing minds, sharing joy, and building futures.

HYGIENE

Partner: ECo-soap bank
(New Partner)

We’re excited to launch a new partnership with Eco-Soap Bank to bring recycled, reprocessed soap to the communities we serve. While this is a brand-new addition to our work, we’re committed to integrating hygiene support into our future programs alongside clean water.

Eco-Soap Bank recycles unused hotel soap into safe, usable bars and distributes them to people who need them most. It’s sustainable, effective, and life-saving.

Here’s what your impact looks like:

  • 🧼 1 bar of soap = $0.20

  • 🧼 $0.50 = soap for a child for an entire year

  • 🧼 $1 = soap for 2 years for one child

Together, we’re expanding what it means to care for a community, starting with the basics.

CONNECTION THROUGH SHARED EXPERIENCES

D8B03863-BA56-4BDC-B7DA-D08F2ED9A0B5.JPG

At W.A.T.A., we address urgent needs, clean water, light, and hygiene, but we also believe that how we show up matters just as much as what we bring.

Through real, human connection, we build trust, community, and long-term systems of care. Whether it’s surfing with local youth, teaching a photography workshop, or sharing a moment over food or laughter, we aim to be present, not just as a nonprofit, but as people.

We bring what we love into the work:

  • Surfing that empowers and builds confidence

  • Photography that documents and honors the story

  • Creative expression that invites joy and shared purpose

These aren’t side projects, they’re how we connect, how we listen, and how we plant deeper roots in every place we go.

Because when we meet each other fully, not just with tools, but with heart, we create systems that can truly last.

FILM PHOTOGRAPHY

Partner: Dexter's Camera & Captured Hearts

Film photography is at the heart of how we slow down and truly see. With support from Dexter’s Camera and their nonprofit arm Captured Hearts, we’ve been able to donate cameras, share prints with families, and host creative storytelling experiences on our trips.

We document every project on 35mm film — not just for aesthetics, but to honor the people and moments behind the mission. And through our Print Club, we share these stories directly with supporters around the world.

Real stories. Real prints. Real connection.

SURF & COMMUNITY

Partners: SODIUM, Saltyviewfinder, Surf association of Myanamr

Surfing is more than a sport, it’s a way to empower, connect, and show up joyfully. Through the surf brand and team, SODIUM, and photography through Saltyviewfinder, we’ve begun supporting surf communities in the places we serve.

In Myanmar, we partner with SAM (Surf Association Myanmar) to donate filters, boards, and gear to youth surfers. We’ve hosted surf sessions, board-building workshops, and are working toward community surf events that uplift and unite.

This model, pairing clean water with surf access, is expanding to Vietnam, Guatemala, and beyond.

When you combine impact with joy, the ripple effect is powerful.

THE IMPACT

BRIDGING IMMEDIATE NEEDS & FUTURE SOLUTIONS

At Water Access To All, we are guided by a fresh perspective and a unique approach to tackling water inequality. From the outset, our mission has been to deliver immediate solutions while working towards lasting impact. Whether we're in the field or collaborating with partners, we constantly ask ourselves, “How can we enhance our efficiency? How can we make a more sustainable impact? How can we ensure our efforts are as effective as possible?”

Water inequality isn’t about the absence of technology; it’s about making that technology accessible. We focus on bridging this gap by providing immediate, effective solutions that set the stage for long-term change.

Our primary emphasis is on portable water filtration systems, which address urgent needs by delivering clean water quickly and effectively. These systems prevent unnecessary suffering and health issues.

While our current focus is on these portable solutions, we are dedicated to working towards more permanent infrastructure in partnership with our communities and collaborators. We believe in the potential for sustainable, large-scale solutions and are committed to ensuring that no one endures the consequences of contaminated water.

By addressing pressing needs today and planning for the future, we strive to create a world where everyone has reliable access to clean, safe water.

A TRANSFORMATIVE IMPACT

Access to clean water is more than a health improvement—it's a catalyst for profound change. While reducing waterborne diseases like Cholera, Salmonella, Giardia, E. Coli, and Typhoid is crucial, the benefits extend far beyond health.

Clean water leads to significant economic and social improvements. Communities save money on medical expenses and spend less time dealing with illness or collecting and purifying water. This frees up time for education and work, boosting overall economic stability. Children experience fewer sick days, enhancing their school attendance and educational prospects. Additionally, access to clean water positively influences infant care, feminine hygiene, and women’s empowerment.

Our core belief is that everyone deserves access to clean water as a basic human right. This principle motivates us daily, driving our commitment to creating meaningful and lasting change in the communities we serve.
