CLEAN WATER, GLOBAL GOALS

Water Access To All (W.A.T.A.) aligns our mission with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a shared blueprint for a better future. Our work directly advances multiple goals, from ensuring clean water for all to supporting health, education, and environmental sustainability.

Goal 1

End poverty in all its forms everywhere

  • Reduces financial burden from medical costs by preventing waterborne diseases.

  • Supports livelihoods by improving community health and reducing missed work/school days.

  • Provides long-term, no-cost clean water solutions that replace expensive bottled water.

Goal 3

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

  • Prevents diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea through safe water access.

  • Reduces child mortality linked to unsafe drinking water.

  • Promotes hygiene education and safe sanitation practices.

Goal 4

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities

  • Reduces absenteeism by preventing illness in students and teachers.

  • Provides clean water access in schools, improving learning environments.

  • Trains youth ambassadors to manage and maintain filtration systems.

Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

  • Reduces time women and girls spend collecting water, allowing more time for education/work.

  • Empowers female ambassadors and leaders in community projects.

  • Improves safety by decreasing the need to travel long distances for water.

Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all

  • Installs long-term water filtration systems for households, schools, and communities.

  • Trains communities on safe water storage and hygiene practices.

  • Monitors impact through follow-up surveys and partnerships.

Reduce inequality within and among countries

  • Serves underserved and marginalized communities with limited water access.

  • Works across countries and regions, regardless of income level or location.

  • Encourages inclusive participation in community projects.

  • Promotes reusable filtration systems over disposable bottled water.

Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development

  • Collaborates with NGOs, local leaders, and global partners for impact.

  • Shares knowledge and resources through training and digital platforms.

  • Aligns projects with global development frameworks.

WHY IT MATTERS

The SDGs are more than just targets, they are a global commitment to dignity, equality, and a sustainable planet. Every WATA project is designed to create ripple effects: improving health, empowering communities, protecting the environment, and inspiring the next generation.
